"I think I found it!" That is what you might say
if you were looking at a
camouflage illusion.
Camouflage illusions are almost like "Can You
Find" worksheets kids do in the first grade.
They mix an object in with different shades of
it’s own colour.
For example:
- A green insect
might be surrounded by plants, herbs or bushes.
Or, like you see these two picture her, many bugs are invisible
when they are in their natural environment (see
picture on the top - the insect, praying
mantis blended with the green and the
picture at below the blended with the brown.
look closer you will say "I found it!")
- A
whale might be surrounded by gallons of water
and a clear blue sky.
If you stare at complimentary colours for a long
time, your retina becomes tired with that colour
and causes optical illusions. The best examples
of this is after images.
