Optical
illusions come in many different type, some are everyday
natural phenomenon, some are created for psychologists to
interpret how our visual system works, some are used for
artistic and architectural purposes, and others provide pure
visual pleasure. However, not all of them are understood.
Some of them are illusions that distort an image’s size,
shape or length. Others are illusions that use shadow and
light, and some use an image’s surroundings. All illusions
trick us into either seeing something that isn’t really
there, or seeing only part of what is there.
